Let’s Play!

Below you will find information on how to register, when to register, when you entry fees are due, how the bracket is made, game & tournament set–up, as well as the NAFA Abuse and Molestation Policy.

Entry Fee:

  • The entry fee for all tournaments is listed on the schedule, and is due on Friday at noon, one week prior to the event.
  • You must pay online, if we haven’t received your check by that Friday, 8 days prior to the event.
  • The entry fee for Summer Nationals is due 15 days before the tourney start.
  • Teams calling to enter a tournament after Monday at noon will probably have a good chance of getting in but are not guaranteed entry. Many times other directors will cancel tournaments, or a tourney in one part of the state is rained out and we try to assist teams that call in last minute in fill-in situations.
  • A $15 fee may be charged for any time requests.

5 Steps – Coach Registration

  1. Get your Background Check by clicking on the box above called “Background for Coaches.” ALL Coaches & adults in your dugout MUST get a background check. This is required annually. Unfortunately, we cannot accept a BC from another organization.
  2. Sign up for your Tourney Machine Coach Account by clicking on the box above called “TM Coach Account,” this is required for play.
  3. Coaches and any adults in the dugout need to complete a background check and concussion training. Both are good for one year from taking them so if you did them in the fall they are good until next fall:

The background check needs to be done through this link: Application Form (avertity.com). Background checks from other organizations are not accepted. We will be sent an email from averity when you complete your check and will not contact you unless there is a problem with the check. You do not need to upload it to tourney machine.

Concussion training is free to take through HEADS UP to Youth Sports | HEADS UP | CDC Injury Center or NFHS Learn | Interscholastic Education, Made Easy. If you have a current certificate through USA Softball or any other group please upload that to tourney machine through the MANAGE FILES area on the DASHBOARD of you coach account.
  4. Proof of team insurance with $1 million per occurrence SAM (sexual abuse and molestation) coverage is required. Team insurance purchased through any national group (USA Softball, USSSA, Little League etc.) is accepted or can be purchased from independent companies such as chappellinsurance.com. Be sure to get the SAM coverage. The insurance certificate should be uploaded through the MANAGE FILES area on the DASHBOARD of your tourney machine coach account.
  5. COACHES, you will then upload your ROSTER to your TM account. Tourney machine will not roll over from 2025 any files that you uploaded. If you played in the fall and uploaded concussion certificates or proof of insurance you will need to upload those again.

If you would like to have your roster rolled over from 2025 please email youthfastpitch@gmail.com – do not start a new one if you want it rolled over. Tourney Machine is not set up for coaches to roll over the roster – it has to be done on our end. Be sure to tell me if you are changing to a different age division. all changes need to be in the 2026 season.
